Chichester, MA - The Chichester Fire Department responded alongside mutual aid partners from Concord Fire Department, Epsom Fire Department, and Loudon Fire Department to a reported motor vehicle collision with entrapment at Dover Road and Cross Road.

On August 25, crews were dispatched at approximately 0804 hours and arrived to find a serious two-vehicle crash with both vehicles having left the roadway and come to rest over an embankment at the intersection. Due to the nature of the incident, an enhanced response was initiated to ensure adequate staffing, extrication tools, and medical resources were on scene.

Firefighters worked in coordinated fashion to stabilize both vehicles and begin simultaneous extrication operations. One occupant was removed from each vehicle, with crews carefully working in difficult terrain to access the patients and safely package them for transport.

Once extricated, both patients were transferred to EMS and transported to Concord Hospital for further treatment. Operations on scene also included hazard control, scene stabilization, and coordination with law enforcement to secure the roadway.

The incident highlighted the effectiveness of rapid mutual aid deployment and coordinated rescue operations in complex roadway emergencies involving multiple patients and off-road vehicle positions.
