SOUTH FLORAL PARK, NY - On Saturday, August 24th at 2:00 P.M., the South Floral Park Fire Department hosted a traditional wet down ceremony for Squad 181. The ceremony was conducted at South Floral Park FD Headquarters. Squad 181 is a 2023 Rosenbauer Commander Engine 1500GPM/500GAL. This rig replaced a 1990 Spartan-Saulsbury 1500GPM/500GAL which formerly served Elmont FD. Bellerose Terrace FD, Stewart Manor FD, New Hyde Park FD, and Floral Park FD were in attendance with rigs.
