Fire, police and EMS personnel responded to a three-vehicle crash that left one occupant trapped and required an extrication operation at the intersection of Route 9W and Washington Street in the City of Newburgh, New York.

The City of Newburgh Fire Department worked alongside City of Newburgh Police and EMS personnel at the scene. Firefighters stabilized the involved vehicle and worked to free the trapped occupant before turning the patient over to EMS.

Following the extrication, the patient was transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Newburgh Police handled the crash investigation.
