Raritan, N.J. — August 18 — At an early-morning landscaping trailer fire at a contractor yard on Tillman Street, the Somerville Fire Department joined Raritan Boro firefighters. Four lawnmowers were discovered blazing inside an open landscape trailer by Raritan firefighters. While workers completed putting out the remaining fire, Somerville Chief and Deputy 57, together with Engine 57-1, responded for a water supply and supplied Raritan Engine 52-1.

According to Raritan Fire Chief Brian Kredatus, the fire was swiftly put out. The cause was still being looked into, and no injuries were recorded. Records from the Raritan Fire Department attested to Engine 52-1's membership in the department's equipment fleet.
