Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Crews Handle Electrical Meter Fire

PALM HARBOR, FL - PHFR responded to a structure fire at Ace Hardware, August 22nd. When crews arrived, they found an electrical fire in a bank of power meters that supplied the plaza at the rear of the structure. Truck 67 attacked the fire with a CO2 extinguisher and quickly mitigated the hazard. Duke Energy secured the power, and no further damage occurred to the building.

Prior to Palm Harbor Fire Rescue, Jason worked for Belleair Bluffs Fire Department, and Indian Rocks Beach Fire Department as a firefighter EMT. Jason holds an associate degree in Fire Science from St. Petersburg College, where he is also an instructor at the Fire Academy. Jason holds certificates in Florida for Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor, Fire Investigator, Driver Operator, Live Fire Instructor, and Paramedic.
