Mastic Beach Fire and EMS Handle Lunchtime MVA

MASTIC BEACH, NY - On August 9th at about 1:52 P.M., the Suffolk County Emergency Communications Center received a call for a report of a vehicle crash located at the intersection of Neighborhood Rd. and Locust Dr. On arrival of Suffolk County Police and Mastic Beach Fire Chiefs Roy Arcuri and Jason Sharp, they found a two-vehicle MVA with fluid and debris in the road, along with minor injuries. Fire personnel and the chiefs assisted with cleaning up the roadway and removing the cars from the middle of the road while Fire Police closed the road in the area.
Mastic Beach Ambulance, under the direction of chief Bernard Felder, responded with two ambulances, a 1st response vehicle and the chief. At least two people were taken to a local hospital. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Upon release of fire and EMS personnel, the scene was turned over to patrol officers from the Suffolk County Police 7th Precinct to await tow trucks.
