HILLSDALE, NJ - A pre-dawn house fire in Hillsdale on August 14th was quickly doused with assistance from several neighboring departments. The initial dispatch was shortly after 5:00 A.M. for reported smoke from a structure under construction at 1 Kinderkamack Rd.

Flames were visible from a top floor window and a working fire assignment was transmitted. The first due engine stretched a line through the front door and up to the second-floor. The truck company accessed the roof. The seat of the fire was quickly extinguished despite part of the flooring burning through. Companies opened up and the fire was placed under control.

There were no reported injuries and the cause is under investigation. Woodcliff Lake, Old Tappan, River Vale, and Westwood assisted at the scene.
