Firefighters Respond to Pedestrian Strike
Mechanic Falls, ME - Mechanic Falls Fire Rescue firefighters responded to a reported motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Pleasant Street, with Rescue 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, and Utility 4 assigned.
Firefighters arrived and immediately initiated patient care, stabilizing the injured pedestrian before transport by United Ambulance Service to Central Maine Medical Center. The roadway remained closed for an extended period as crews assisted with scene safety and supported the ongoing investigation.
Firefighters operated alongside the Mechanic Falls Police Department, Lewiston Police Crash Reconstruction Team, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, and the District Attorney’s Office. Appreciation was extended to all assisting agencies, and well wishes were shared for the patient’s recovery.
