On the evening of July 5th, the Windsor Locks Fire Department was dispatched to 14 Hayes Rd for an activated CO detector. Upon arrival, Captain LaPierre reported smoke coming from the eves of the structure and had the call retoned as a working fire. No injuries were reported and the occupant's pets were safely removed from the structure.
This incident reinforces the importance of having working CO and smoke detectors throughout your home.
