Truro, MA. — July 18 — Engine 5 and Car 1 were sent by Orleans Fire-Rescue, located at 58 Eldredge Park Way, to assist in a second-alarm structure fire in Truro early on July 18. Cape Cod's mutual help system, which enables nearby departments to assist with more serious crises, was used to respond. While providing emergency coverage throughout the region, Orleans firefighters collaborated with regional teams to support fire suppression and incident operations.

Second-alarm responses enable agencies safely handle prolonged crises and guarantee sufficient staffing throughout firefighting and overhaul operations by providing more personnel, equipment, and command resources.
