Berwyn, PA. — July 3 — A trash fire at the Stonegate at Devon Apartments in Tredyffrin Township was reported during the evening, and Department Berwyn Fire Company, 23 Bridge Ave., responded. In order to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings or cars, Engine 2 firefighters swiftly controlled and put it out. Coordinated emergency response throughout the township was demonstrated when EMS units handled a different medical emergency on School Lane concurrently.

Before leaving the scene, firefighters looked for any hot areas that might still be there. Engine 2 was put back into service when operations were finished, and it continued to be available for further emergency calls for the rest of the evening.
