Shelton, Conn. — July 22 — Companies were dispatched to 211 Fox Run for reports of a working structure fire Wednesday. While en route, dispatch advised that multiple callers were reporting the back of the condominium unit was on fire. As Car 6 entered the condominium complex, heavy smoke and a visible glow was observed from a distance.

Based on these conditions, a working fire was transmitted. Upon arrival of Car 6, heavy fire was showing from the charlie side of a two-story, wood-frame, attached condominium. The fire had extended into the attic space and was self-venting through the roof on the alpha side of the primary fire building. Due to the volume of fire and radiant heat, the exposed building on the Delta side, a two-story wood-frame residential structure, was threatened. An additional alarm was immediately struck bringing all Shelton Fire companies to the scene.
