EDISON, NJ - On Saturday, July 13th, the New Jersey Fire & EMS Institute held their second Firefighter Health, Safety and Tactics Seminar in the Performing Arts Center at Middlesex College in Edison.
Building on the success of last year, this year brought an educational filled day. Anthony Avillo, retired Deputy Chief from North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, spoke about fire scene size-up and radio communications. Jeff Dill, Founder of the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance, spoke about PTSD vs Moral Injury. Robert Disbrow, Captain Bayonne Fire Department & Instructor from Superior Fire & Emergency Response Training, spoke on Fire Investigations and Scene Preservation.
