Nashua firefighters arrived at a large 2½-story wood-frame building with fire showing during the early morning hours of July 21, 2026. The deputy chief arrived on scene and transmitted a second alarm, bringing all Nashua apparatus to the scene.
Companies made an aggressive interior attack and removed one victim from the building within the first few minutes after arrival. Due to deteriorating fire conditions, crews transitioned to defensive operations for a short period of time.
After the heavy volume of fire in the attic was knocked down, companies re-entered the building and extinguished the remaining fire. Crews remained on scene throughout the day extinguishing hot spots and assisting fire investigators.
The fire resulted in two fatalities.
