BOHEMIA, NY - On July 12th at around 6:00 p.m., the Bohemia Fire Department responded to a working house fire. When firefighters arrived, they discovered intense fire throughout the house and promptly set up several handlines for a vigorous attack from both the inside and outside. After bringing the main body of fire under control, crews spent several hours performing overhaul operations and putting out concealed hot spots. Captain Frank Caputo oversaw the scene, while many nearby fire departments and ambulance services provided mutual aid support.
