Limerick Fire Dept Responds to Multiple Calls During Evening Storms

The Limerick Fire Department responded to nine (9) storm-related calls after the second storm came through Limerick Township. Starting at 7:59 pm, crews were dispatched to back-to-back calls involving clearing road obstructions from fallen trees and wires, a tree fire, and electrical fires. Engine 51, Squad 51, Field 51-2, Rescue 51, Chief 51, Battalion 51, and Fire Police responded. Fire Police and firefighters shut down roads temporarily due to electrical damages. The last call for the evening occurred around 9:50 pm. Crews returned to the stations and were made available.
