BROCKTON, MA - On the morning of Wednesday, June 21st, the Brockton Fire Department put a new company in-service, The Rescue. The Rescue was officially placed into service after a brief ceremony and open house for the new company.
The Rescue will be housed at Station-1 on Pleasant Street, along with Car-56 (Deputy Chief), Ladder-1, and Squad-A. The Rescue is the tenth company staffed by the City of Champions, the first time this has been done since 1991. The Rescue will respond to all reported fires, motor vehicle accidents with entrapment, elevator emergencies and hazardous materials incidents in Brockton, and will also respond to regular runs in their first due district.
