Pittsburgh, PA. — July 16 — Early in the morning, Reserve VFD-Station 317 responded to a reported fire close to a new housing development on Geyer Road. When arriving firemen saw a storage trailer completely engulfed in flames, they started suppression efforts right away. Before leaving the area, workers spent roughly an hour putting out the fire, inspecting the trailer, and looking for any hot spots.

There were no reported injuries. In order to minimize fire extension and ensure scene safety during construction site incidents, firefighters must assess temporary structures, stored materials, and access circumstances.
