A funeral was held on July 13th for Newark FF Augusto "Augie" Acabou, of Engine Co. 16. Over a 1000 first responders lined the streets to pay last respects from several states at Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Ridge St., Newark, July 13th. FF Acabou was posthumously promoted to the rank of Captain.
