HINESBURG, VT - At 4:17 p.m. on July 9th, the Hinesburg Fire Department responded to a reported car fire. Within five minutes, crews arrived to discover a pickup truck carrying a trailer with the engine compartment fully involved. Hinesburg Police officers secured the route before firefighters started their suppression efforts. During the initial attack, there was a tiny explosion, but the fire was successfully contained and kept from spreading. The vehicle was deemed a total loss, and no injuries were reported.
