Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue Introduces New Community Risk Reduction Vehicle

Cedar Hammock, FL – Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue is thrilled to unveil its new Community Risk Reduction (CRR) vehicle to enhance public safety and community engagement. Wrapped in vibrant graphics, this vehicle is more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a mobile public relations statement dedicated to promoting safety and well-being throughout Cedar Hammock.

 

The CRR vehicle is a specially equipped unit that will serve as the centerpiece of Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue’s proactive safety initiatives. Its eye-catching design features dynamic graphics that reflect our commitment to community safety and risk reduction. The vehicle is outfitted with essential equipment and materials to support a wide range of CRR activities, including:

 

1)    Public Education and Awareness: The vehicle will travel to schools, community centers, and local events to deliver crucial safety information on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and health.

 

2)    Community Engagement: Serving as a mobile hub, the CRR vehicle will facilitate outreach efforts, bringing safety resources directly to neighborhoods and fostering a culture of safety. It will provide a platform for fire prevention to interact with residents, address safety concerns, and build stronger community relationships.

 

3)    Risk Assessment and Mitigation: The vehicle will support on-site risk assessments, fire inspections, and safety drills, allowing for timely and effective interventions.

 

Goals of the CRR Program with the New Vehicle

 

The introduction of the CRR vehicle aims to amplify the impact of Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue’s risk reduction efforts by:

3)    Strengthening Community Resilience: The vehicle will serve as a beacon of safety, encouraging residents to engage in safety initiatives and be better prepared for emergencies.

Kyle Bradshaw is a 35+ year veteran of public safety, and currently serves as the Fire Chief for Cedar Hammock Fire Control District. Additionally, he speaks at conferences regarding leadership development and organizational change to increase employee engagement, building highly effective teams. Kyle was the Assistant Chief (Ret) with DeKalb County Fire Rescue, DeKalb County, GA, serving as the Chief of Staff. His certifications include police officer, firefighter, EMT, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Fire Investigator Instructor (CFII), and advanced Computer Voice Stress Analysts (CVSA). Chief Bradshaw was a faculty member at Columbia Southern University. His public safety teaching includes law enforcement instructor, fire instructor, 9-1-1 instructor, EMD instructor, train-the-trainer programs, NIMS, and ICS. Chief Bradshaw earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Homeland Security and Public Safety, a Master of Science Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration, with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
