North Adams Firefighting Injured Fighting Blaze

North Adams firefighter Ray King was injured fire a blaze on Chase Ave in the city early Sunday Morning. King was stretching a line to the back on the building when part of the wall collapsed on him. He was Rushed to North Adams Regional Hospital where he was treated and later released. The Fire department was alerted to the Blaze around 5am. Engine 3 rolled up on the fire scene to a fully involved fire. The officer in charge quickly notified dispatch to "Pull The Hook" a term held over from back in the day meaning to call in all off duty firefighters. The building had no power and had been vacant for sometime. The fire is currently under investigation.
