Members of Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company No. 2 arrived at Point Pleasant on June 19th to help with several building fires on Sunrise Drive.

According to officials, workers from engines 4201, 4301, and 4211 helped firemen from Point Pleasant Fire Department Station 75 put out two house fires. Strong gusts and high temperatures made it difficult for firefighters to suppress the situation, making their task difficult.

Several authorities worked together to contain the fires and prevent more damage. Department leaders commended all responding companies for their efforts and professionalism during the operation. Officials also asked the community to keep the affected families in their thoughts as they recover from the incident.
