Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company Responds to Parking Lot Vehicle Fire

Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 responded to a car fire in the Wegmans parking lot on Easton-Nazareth Highway on May 31.


The call was made at around 8:30 a.m., according to officials. Four firefighters and Rescue 5341 were dispatched by Chief Lambert. When workers arrived, they discovered a car fire and started fighting it with a 150-foot handline.


Firefighters were able to swiftly contain the fire after Fire Marshal Seip arrived with Tanker 5331 to give water. There were no reported injuries. Additional department units responded to support operations, while personnel from EMS 17 and the Colonial Regional Police Department also assisted at the scene. All crews cleared the incident after completing suppression and overhaul operations.
