Hernando, FL - Hernando County Fire Rescue crews responded to a reported kitchen fire on Knotty Oaks Circle in Spring Hill. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a light smoke condition inside the residence.

Crews made entry and quickly located a fire contained to a cooking pot, extinguishing it before it could extend. The pot was removed from the home, preventing further smoke and fire damage.

No injuries were reported. The fire was determined to be cooking-related.
