Allendale Firefighters Stop Vehicle Fire Threatening Structure

The Allendale Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire on June 2nd when a neighbor noticed smoke close to a building in the borough.


Officers from the Allendale Police Department arrived while firemen were on their way and discovered the situation was actually a fully involved vehicle fire endangering a nearby building. As firefighters got on the area, residents were evacuated.


Within minutes of the first engine arriving, firefighters swiftly used hose lines to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to the building.


According to officials, there were no casualties and every homeowner and pet left the area safely. The event demonstrated how quickly police and firefighters can respond and work together to protect people and property.
