Lightning Strike in Falmouth Causes Structure Fire

FALMOUTH, MA - On June 10th, Falmouth had a thunderstorm with minimum lightning or wind. However, a house at 20 Rolling Acres Lane, was struck by lightning. Falmouth dispatched Engines 21, 23 and 24, Ladder 26 and Ambulance 36. Engine 25 arrived and reported a lightning strike on the garage with smoke showing. Engine 25 declared a working fire which brought Engines 22 and 24. Once the roof was vented, firefighters were able to access the fire. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes.
