DANBURY, CT - Following reports of a small aircraft crash on airport land, Danbury Fire Department personnel arrived at Danbury Municipal Airport at around 10:20 a.m. on June 4th. According to officials, the plane landed just short of Backus Avenue after colliding with a perimeter fence at the end of Runway 35. Under the supervision of airport management, firefighters helped securely disentangle the aircraft from the fencing. The incident did not injure the pilot, who was the only person inside the plane. There were no other reported injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into the crash's cause and circumstances.
