Riverhead NY. – On the evening of May 20th, 2020 about 15 Fire and EMS agencies banded together to hold a parade to honor front line heroes in Riverhead. The parade of dozens of emergency vehicles was organized by the Manorville ambulance and coincided with EMS week 2020. The agencies lined up their apparatus at the old Walmart on Old Country Rd in Riverhead and with a police Escort from Riverhead police and Suffolk County Pd went down old country road to Roanoke Ave passing the Peconic Bay Medical Center. Some hospital staff gathered outside the medical center to look on in appreciation as some people who were out at some local businesses who heard the sirens and stopped to watch.
A great job by all the Fire and EMS Agencies from Suffolk County that participated in the event.
