Lower Providence, PA - During the lunch hour on May 14th, Lower Providence and surrounding companies were alerted to smoke showing from a house in the Audubon section of the township. County radio then began getting multiple calls for explosions and fire coming from the house. EMS and police arrived shortly after and confirmed fire showing from the rear of a house.
Deputy 53 (Lentz) arrived and assumed command. After a brief shot from the yard, crews worked aggressively inside until called back to regroup by command. Due to a lack of hydrants in the area and low daytime manpower, multiple tankers were dispatched as well as the second-alarm assignment. Crews brought the fire under control and wrapped up the thousands of feet of hose within a few hours.
