FARMINGTON, NM - On May 10th, 2019 at 0557 hours Farmington Engines 1, 4, and 6; Ladders 1 and 2; and Battalion Chief 1 were dispatched to the corner of West Arrington Street and El Paso Drive for a report of smoke coming from a single family dwelling.
First arriving companies found a working fire in a vacant building. Battalion Chief 1 was getting prepared to change the strategy to a defensive fire attack when the crew of Engine 1 got a knock down on the fire. The cause of this incident is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
