Chase City firefighters receive grant for equipment

CHASE CITY,VA-Sometimes wishes do come true. Chase City firefighters were in need of new equipment and Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation stepped up to the plate to help.
The Foundation presented the firefighters with a check for $14,964, for the purchase of life saving equipment.
Chase City Fire Department said they are extremely grateful to the Foundation for giving them the opportunity to purchase a variety of Fire hoses and nozzles and allowing them to better serve the community.
Chase City Fire Department houses two engines, a tanker, a brush truck, a light duty rescue truck and a utility truck. The chief has a fire Department vehicle to respond to calls in.
