ELMWOOD PARK, NJ - A stubborn, multi-alarm fire consumed a garage and heavily damaged a shed and a home in Elmwood Park on the afternoon of April 27th.

As Chief Ed Majescykie arrived, a two-car garage was fully involved at 429 River Rd. with vehicles inside. The fire had already extended to a shed and the exterior of a home at 3 Phillip Ave. The flames quickly consumed the garage, and the roof collapsed.

Elmwood Park police, firefighters and EMTs were assisted by Garfield, Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook and Clifton firefighters at the scene, and those from Lodi, Rochelle Park and Maywood in coverage. Elmwood Park fire prevention is investigating the cause. No injuries were reported.
