New Windsor FD held their annual Recruitment Day at their firehouse 275 Walsh Ave on Sunday April 27th. Members were on hand to greet residents of the fire district.

Inside the Engine Bay was Cornhole set up-refreshments and snacks. Outside was two engines with their doors open to see everything the Engines carry and firefighters

we're explaining what the items were used for. At around 1:20 after New Windsor FD returned from a fire call-firefighters gave a auto extrication drill on a vehicle in the lot.

Firefighters used a variety of equipment to take the doors, windshield and joints between the seats apart. Their was a dummy that was put into the vehicle before the drill

started. After the doors were taken off the firefighters entered the vehicle and removed the dummy. Spectators watch from a distance and observed the event.
