Nazareth, PA — Emergency crews from across the area responded earlier today to a 3rd alarm fire at 109-111 South Main Street in the heart of downtown Nazareth. The fire was first reported around 12:50 a.m. The initial arriving units encountered heavy smoke and fire from a mixed-use building housing both residential apartments and commercial space. Firefighters quickly requested additional alarms as flames spread through multiple floors. Mutual aid was called from several neighboring departments to assist with manpower, water supply, and aerial operations. Streets around the scene were closed to traffic as hoses and equipment stretched across Main Street. Residents were evacuated safely. No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation by local authorities and the Fire Marshal’s office.
