Mastic Beach Ny – On Tuesday April 14th at about 8:45 PM the Mastic Beach FD and Mastic Beach Ambulance were activated for a motor vehicle crash on Neighborhood Rd near Hemlock Dr. On Arrival Assistant Chiefs Jeff McGown & Fred Loiacono found a police car with front end damage and leaking fluid. Unit 5-13-8 responded into the scene and was requested to have the members put down speedy dry on the ground to soak up the fluids.
Mastic Beach Ambulance checked out the officer it was not disclosed at the scene if the officer was taken to a hospital or released at the scene. It is believed that the other car may have left the scene according to sources. Neighborhood Rd was closed at Hemlock drive while firefighters operated and police investigated the scene.
