MASTIC BEACH, NY - Recently, the Mastic Beach Fire Department responded to a call for a reported vehicle fire on Whittier Dr. The caller stated that the fire was threatening the structure. On arrival, Mastic Beach FD Chiefs advised they had an active car fire in the driveway. The first due engine company stretched the line and made an aggressive attack on the fire. No injuries were reported, and all units were back in service in under one hour.
