Penn Hills Firefighters get quick knock onhouse fire

April 19, 2020 – Penn Hills, Allegheny County – At 7:29pm, fire crews were dispatched to a reported house fire located in the 400 block of Guylyn Drive. Shortly after dispatch, Penn Hills 227 Chief reported that this was a good fire with a header coming from that area. Penn Hills 227 Chief and 227 Truck arrived on-scene at the same time as 227 Chief advised dispatch there was fire showing from the Bravo side of a 1 ½ story home. Crews quickly made entry and knocked the fire down. The fire was quickly brought under control at 7:54 as crews continued to perform overhaul and ventilation. No one was injured and the Penn Hills Fire Marshal is now investigating.
