One Person Rescued After Boat Capsizes in Fall River

FALL RIVER, MA - Around 6:45 PM on April 16th, firefighters were dispatched to Cook Pond in the south end of the city for a report of an overturned boat with a person in the water. A full task force along with Rescue 1 and Marine 2 responded and confirmed a victim in the water. Marine 2 along with a private small fishing boat made their way to the victim. The boat arrived first and pulled the victim out of the water while the crew of Marine 2 assisted. The victim was brought back to the boat ramp and transferred to medical personnel to be treated and transported.
