LOWELL, MA - Lowell Fire was dispatched to 15 Whitney Avenue on April 10th after the fire alarm office received an initial two telephone alarms for a fire. Three engine companies, a ladder company, a rescue company and a Deputy Chief were dispatched on the first alarm. The first arriving companies reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a 2 1/2 story wood frame building. An additional engine for RIT, and an additional aerial company were brought to the scene. Companies made quick work of a fire in an āLā style addition, ultimately keeping extension from the main part of the building.
