2nd Alarm Struck at Commercial Structure Fire in City of Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - City of Newburgh firefighters were dispatched on April 12th just after 6:00 P.M. for a reported structure fire at 220 Dupont Ave.
On arrival a working fire in a commercial building was confirmed and a second-alarm was struck. The following mutual aid companies were requested to the scene: West Point Fire - 1 engine, Air National Guard Fire - 1 engine, Castle Point Fire - 1 engine, Beacon Fire - 1 ladder, Good Will Fire - 1 engine to stand by, Winona Lake Fire - 1 tower ladder to standby (unable to crew), Middlehope Fire - 1 ladder to standby (unable to crew), and Coldenham Fire - 1 tower ladder to standby.
The main body of fire was knocked down by 6:45 P.M., and overhaul was conducted.
