Allentown- On March 19th at 07:37hrs , the AFD responded to a three story dwelling fire with possible entrapment at 119 N. 13th St. Engine 4 was first on scene of this MOR fire and immediately called it a working fire with heavy white smoke showing. As units arrived it was confirmed that there was entrapment of a disabled male inside on the first floor. Command requested a second alarm be transmitted and eventually a third alarm as the fire continued to spread around the house. Fortunately, the victim was found and transported to the hospital. Two firefighters that were operating on the second floor, fell through a hole onto two firefighters on the first floor. The four were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injures. The fire was brought under control in under two hours. There was heavy damage to the fire building and smoke and water damage to the two exposures. Also assisting the AFD were Eastern Salisbury, Woodlawn and Greenawalds fire companies.
