In the afternoon hours of 1/15/2024, the Haverhill Fire Department responded to Hillside Street for a report of a heater on fire on the first floor of a residence. Engine 1 arrived first due and reported a fire in the building, with smoke on the first floor and coming out of the eaves. Crews quickly knocked the fire down using four engine companies, one ladder company, and one rescue company. Salem, Groveland, Lawrence, and Methuen covered the city until Haverhill companies cleared.
