MASTIC, NY - On Thursday, March 30th at about 5:42 P.M., the Mastic Fire Department was activated for a helicopter landing at the William Floyd High School. Suffolk County Police Aviation was requested by Mastic Ambulance for a patient who was injured in a vehicle crash.
Under the command of Mastic FD Chiefs Gene Martucci and Steve Januskiewicz, Engines 5-12-1, 5-12-2 and Fire Police 5-12-80 were dispatched to the district office parking lot of the William Floyd High School. The fire department secured the landing zone area along with Suffolk Police 7th Precinct units.
