Shirley, N.Y. — On a recent Tuesday evening at about 10:20 PM the Mastic Beach FD was requested for a house fire on Breston Dr. off Hounslow Rd. Dispatch advised Chief of Department Grego of Multiple calls on the alarm. On arrival a working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid was requested.

The first due engine crew quickly stretched a line and went to work. Firefighters conducted a search of the home which came up negative. Mutual aid came to the scene from Mastic, Brookhaven , Center Moriches and Ridge Fire Departments to Assist. Mastic Beach Ambulance was also on scene. No injuries were reported. After the fire was under control the scene was turned over to the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal and Suffolk Police Arson squad.
