UPPER HANOVER TWP., PA - On March 7th at 9:17 A.M., the Red Hill, Pennsburg, East Greenville, Green Lane, Tylersport and Trumbauersville, Eastern Berks and Richland Township for RIT fire companies were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 2588 Geryville Pike in Upper Hanover Township. Rescue 65 arrived on scene to a working porch fire in the rear, spreading to the interior of the dwelling. Hand lines were deployed for fire attack and a primary search was done and ventilation was performed. Upper Salford Fire Company was dispatched to set up a fill site on 6th St. in Red Hill and additional tankers were dispatched from Milford Township, and Hereford Fire Companies. The cause of the fire is pending an investigation by the fire marshal.
