NORTHWOOD, NH - On December 10, 2024 at 5:56 P.M., Northwood Firefighters were summoned to the area of West street for an unknown type of fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a well-involved structure fire and requested a second-alarm. In total, 11 area departments responded. As this home was not in a hydrant district, a tanker shuttle was established for water supply. The fire was contained to the structure of origin. The fire was stopped prior to involving the attached barn, and a second barn approximately 10-feet away was also saved. Two firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The home was vacant at the time and no civilian injures were reported.
