On December 10, 2024 at 17:56 hrs, Northwood Firefighters were summoned to the area of West street for an unknown type of fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a well involved structure fire and requested a second alarm. In total 11 area departments responded. As this home was not in a hydrant district a tanker shuttle was established for water supply. The fire was contained to the structure of origine. The fire was stopped prior to involving the attached barn and a second barn approximately 10 feet away was also saved. Two firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The home was vacant at the time and no civilian injures were reported.
