On March 1st, Waltham Fire received a call for a fire at 1000 Lexington Street. Engine 2, 7, 8, Squad 5, Tower 1 and Medic 1 responded. Firefighters found smoke coming form a third floor window. Heavy smoke fill the third floor. Engine 4 and Ladder 2 were special called to assist in evacuating the building. There were no injuries. The Red Cross was assisting with the displaced tenants.
