Salt Lake City First Responders Rescue Hiker

Salt Lake City Fire and EMS personnel rescued a stranded hiker on Feb. 23.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- A hiker who found himself injured and in trouble was rescued on Feb. 23 shortly after noon.
The hiker was located on a rocky and steep trail behind the Natural History Museum of Utah.
The hiker who officials said was in his early twenties, suffered scrapes and hypothermia.
Crews placed the patient in a basket secured with lines and walked him up the trail, then transported him to a local hospital.
