WALTHAM, MA - On February 24th, Waltham Fire received a report of some type of chemical issue at 210 Waverley Oaks Road. Engine 3, 8 Tower 1, Rescue 1, and Medic 1` were dispatched. A chemical or explosive device was found. The Mass State Police Bomb Squad removed the device and transported it in a dump truck to Lexington to detonate it. The substance was determined to be Diethyl Ether.
